Finally A Lake Day!!

On Saturday, we finally got to spend time at the lake. We went to the beach for a few hours and then while Cameryn was sleeping I got to go jet-skiing for the first time! Once she woke up, we went kayaking together and then took the boat to dinner. She did really well kayaking. I was worried that she was going to stand up or move around a lot but she sat nice and still. She kept saying that she wanted out at first but after the first few minutes she enjoyed it and was trying to help me paddle.

Leland, Michigan

We went to Leland, Michigan with my friend Julie from work and her daughter Abby. Her family has several cottages there and she has been going there since she was little. The cottage that we stayed in was her Aunt and Uncles cottage and it was beautiful. It sat right on the lake and had big windows so you had wonderful views from all sides. Leland is about 45 minutes from Traverse City and took us about 5 1/2- 6 hours to get there. The girls did awesome on the trip there and pretty good on the way back thanks to the DVD player, magnadoodles, books, computers, suckers, and many other snacks! The weather was about 60 degrees with rain and fog the first two days. Luckily we were able to still do things outside we just had to bundle up more than you would expect for the end of June. Finally we got a nice day on Saturday to spend at the lake.

More Sand Dunes!

We went to climb the sand dunes while we were up North with Julie and Abby for a long weekend. The sand dunes were beautiful and it was amazing how soft and nice the sand was. Once we got up high enough there were beatiful views and the kids got to run around, jump, scoot, and play in the sand.

Pacesetter Park

We went to watch Kevin's softball game and of course had to play on the playground too. Pacesetter has a great playground and Cameryn even made a few a friends.

Somersault!

Cam did a somersault by accident this morning and then kept trying to recreate it. She needed a little help though getting started. We all then got to take at least one turn during a somersault. Kevin was actually pretty good at them. :)

Swimming in Findlay

We went to Findlay on Friday to visit Lisa and Owen and got to go swimming. Cameryn had a great time gathering water in her bucket and then pouring it on me and the sidewalk. She also liked to make her foot and handprints on the cement.
