More Animal Kingdom

We really enjoyed the day we spent at Animal Kingdom! They had a program for kids to earn Wilderness Badges (similar to what Russell collected in the movie Up) throughout the park by completing different tasks. Cameryn was very excited about these badges and earned 5 or 6 of them. While at the park, we also ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe and went to see Finding Nemo the musical.

Animal Kingdom: Safari

The Safari at Animal Kingdom was one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. I didn't get the best pictures because I was on the wrong side of the jeep. We rode in the jeeps for about 30 minutes and got pretty close to elephants, hippos, rhinos, giraffes, carribou, crocodiles, and many more animals.

Meeting the Characters

We had lots of fun meeting all of the Disney characters. Even though we didn't get to see Anna and Elsa, we did meet Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel, and Cinderella. The Belle meet and greet was the best by far. The kids got to throw a surprise party for Belle and as part of the surprise acted out the day that Belle and Beast met. Cameryn was picked to be Chip, the little tea cup. She did great and had a huge smile on her face the whole time. After the party, each kid got to take his or her picture with Belle. Avery was very shy when it was her turn but walked up to Belle on her own. She has come a long way since meeting Santa and the Easter bunny!

Festival of Fantasy Parade

On our first day at Magic Kingdom, we stayed later in the afternoon to watch the new parade. We got front row seats, which was perfect because numerous characters waved at the girls and also came up to us to give them hugs. When Captain Hook came by, he pointed right at Avery causing her to run away crying. :) During the parade, we also got to see Anna and Elsa. This was the closest we got to them since I wasn't able to get the fast pass for meet and greet.
